Mission Statement of the Baptist Missionary Association of America
Our purpose statement says that in compliance with the Great Commission
(Matthew 28:18-20) our purpose is to evangelize, then baptize and disciple
all converts. This being the New Testament method of missions, the focus
of the Department of Missions is church planting. Following Christ's example,
we also engage in humanitarian and benevolent ministries.
The Department of Missions exists for only one reason -- to assist every
local church in the Baptist Missionary Association of America to be a Great
Commission Church. Our desire is to lead churches to plant churches!
We seek to create cooperation of all churches of the Baptist Missionary
Association of America so that we can fulfill the Great Commission as
given by our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Paul’s Epistle to Timothy, he said, “Despise not thy youth...
” We are excited about what God can do through the youth
of our church today, not tomorrow. Our aim at Norfork Lake
Baptist Church is to provide a youth program that is first and
foremost Christ centered and honoring. We pray that we, by
the leadership of the Holy Spirit, will be able to educate our
children spiritually so that they may be able to:
1) Come to the knowledge of Christ as their savior!
2) Learn to follow Chirst in a daily walk.
3) Learn how to use God’s word as a basis for living and
getting answers to the questions they have in their life.
4) To become bold witnesses for Christ at home and abroad.
5) Build strong homes and churches according to God’s plan
(Matt. 28:18-20).
Each summer we attend children’s church camp at Smithville,
AR. This camp lasts for 4 days and generally runs about 220
kids from churches in our association.
It is our goal to provide a safe and exciting place for the youth
of our church to fellowship as they learn more about God’s
will for their lives.
